2010 has been QUITE a year here at Mommin’ It Up, and we thought a fun way to look back on it would be to join in with Jo-Lynne’s recap blog carnival at Musings from a Housewife. The instructions are to post the first sentence of your first blog post of each month. This could get interesting! Here we go…
January – So like all the other bloggers in the world, we’ve put together a post highlighting our favorite posts of the year.
Apparently we were a little slow on the uptake last year and posted our 2009 recap after 2010 already started, but this post highlights what we thought were the most memorable posts each month of 2009. It was fun to look back on it – there are some very funny stories involving elevators (and more elevators), Spanx, Lysol wipes and much, much more.
February – It’s BlissDom week!
We were *a little* excited about heading to Nashville for Blissdom 2009… and don’t worry, you’ll be hearing plenty more about that conference because it is in like four weeks and we’re going! And taking a 5-week-old baby so needless to say, we are going to have very bloggable experiences.
March – Yesterday I logged onto Twitter and found this tweet from Jenny: @jennyitup I just realized I owe @momminitup $25 from December. Umm…I’ll get that too ya real soon…
Hey Rapson, did you ever pay me that $25?
April – One night last week, Kate and I had a very difficult time during dinner.
And what do you know, all these months later she is still a super picky eater.
May – One of my little Sophie’s very favorite things to do is play with my iPod touch.
Sophie was showing off her vocal skills!
June – I don’t know what my problem is… I’ve the blues.
Well that was rather depressing. Yikes.
July – Well, my poor third child is probably feeling neglected already.
Once again Jenny regales us with tales of puking.
August – The Ultimate Mom’s Night Out party was last Thursday and it was AMAZING!
Jenny took a break from throwing up long enough to throw a great party with Tricia, and I got to come and everything!
September – On Monday, my Kate went back to school.
Ah yes, the post about all the things I did wrong in preparation for Kate going back to school. Click through if for no other reason than to find out why I taped a car to her chest.
October – By the time you read this little post, I will be in Orlando, FL getting ready to take part in [the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon]
I warned you all of my possible impending death upcoming half marathon. I lived, but barely. And I haven’t run since.
November – Yesterday was a red-letter day in our house.
Sophie showed Jenny what she’d been learning in school – backtalk. And Jenny was thrilled!
December – So, I am 36 weeks!
December brought us another pregnancy update – and of course, baby Jonah as well!
2010 was pretty amazing. Happy New Year to all of you!
Best wishes for 2011! Congrats on your new baby who is coming soon. Sounds like 2011 will be a special year for you.

Happy New Year to my lovely niece and her lovely cousin, er, my non-niece!
