Couponin’ It Up!

This was a week where once again, I two-timed CVS with Walgreens, something which, until LAST week, I hadn’t done for months! But seriously people, I CANNOT pass up practically free diapers! So here is what I got at Wags:

Walgreens paid about $14 for all this

Three Huggies Supreme $10 each
1 Skippy peanut butter $3
Total = $33
Coupons:
Three $5 off Huggies printables
1 $8 RR from last week’s deals
Total with tax = $12.93
Got back 10 Register Rewards for the Huggies!

I used that RR and the 3.49 one I had from last week to buy the Splenda, grape jelly, orange juice, and milk and paid about $1.40 for all that! YAY!

Then I picked up some more Huggies for my friend and reader Gwen who broke her ankle recently. She was lamenting that she wouldn’t be able to get out of the house and get some cheap diapers, and I couldn’t let that happen! Because I??? LOVE my readers!!!

Next, I did of course go to CVS to get some sweet deals there as well. I needed some Garnier hair products to support my new penchant for wavy hair.

broke even on this - paid $2.37

3 Garnier hair stylers $10
Palmolive $1.49
Schick Quattro $8.99
Crest $2.99
Batteries BOGO free $5.99
Total = 29.46
Coupons:
$5/$25 Rite Aid coupon (my CVS takes competitor q’s)
three $1 off Garnier manu q’s
three $2 off Garnier Walgreens q’s
$4 off Schick Walgreens q
$1 off Crest manu q
total = $10.46, but the cashier missed one of my $1 off q’s, don’t know which one, but I didn’t make a fuss. I paid with 10 ECB and paid $2.37 cash including tax and got back 13 ECB! Yippee!

Well that’s all for me this week! I am hoping to hit CVS one more time on Saturday to get some of their great trash bags which are on sale but we’ll see. Hope you all did great too! The Stockpile Has Landed

I didn’t do ANY CVSing this week. Never darkened the door! There just weren’t any sales exciting enough to get me in the door. Shocking, I know. Hopefully this coming week will be better! I did, however, hit a super-awesome sale at Meijer! Here’s what I got:

$48.01 at Meijer

It took me five transactions, but I got all of this – over $110 worth of groceries (at sale prices) for just $48.01! I got 24 boxes of Chex Mix/Fiber One bars, and at $2 apiece, those alone would have cost $48 without coupons. Every time you bought five boxes of these, you got a coupon back for $3.50 off your next order. I had coupons for $1 off (some that went to $1 when doubled) for all of these, so I’d pay $5, get $3.50 back, and then use that coupon to buy my next batch! On my last transaction I got 4 boxes, so I have a $2.50 coupon to use next time I go to Meijer. 🙂

I also got six boxes of cereal, five 6-packs of Yoplait kids yogurt, a bag of frozen chicken tenderloins, milk, pasta, frozen chicken nuggets, bananas, bread, five Lean Cuisines, Chex Mix, a fmaily size Hershey’s syrup (woot!), and two jars of Skippy peanut butter!

I haven’t had a haul this good in a long time, so I was really excited. Hope you all did great too! To see how everyone else did, check out Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom and Shopping Superstars at the Thirfty Mama.

I Can Haz Mountain Dew? No?

I only went to CVS once this week – crazy huh? The deals just weren’t too exciting and although I am feeling much better, I still haven’t regained 100% of my incessant desire to CVS shop all the time. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that there is a huge ECB deal on Pepsi products and I am still not drinking Mountain Dew, and it makes me VERY SAD! My mom brought me a 2-Liter when I was depressed last week, and I had one out to eat, but other than that I have been a very good girl. But anyways – you will see that I DID purchase a 2-liter on this transaction, but it’s for a dinner we are attending Sunday for our house church – we’re bringing the drinks. Perhaps with my Christian community holding me accountable I will be able to abstain from Dew at the dinner. (ha ha!) We shall see. Anyhoo – here’s what I got:

6 cents

4 2-Liters of Pepsi products $5
8 Propel/Gatorade $15
1 Skippy $1.67
1 CVS baby wipes $2.99
Total = $24.66
Coupons: Rite Aid $5/$25 (my CVS take competitor q’s and the manager rounded up my total for me – I had planned to buy some Lays chips as part of the Pepsi deal which would have put me over, but they were out of them)
$3 off CVS brand q
60 cents off Skippy q
Total = $16.06

I paid with 16 ECB, paid 6 cents cash, and got back 10 ECB for the Pepsi/Propel/Gatorade products!

Next, I did this, because my particular hubby likes the yellow Axe body wash and it is never on sale!

53 cents

2 Axe body wash $10
2 Skippy $3.34
1 CVS baby wipes $2.99
Total $16.33
Coupons:
CVS $3/$15 (expired, my CVS takes them for 30 days)
Two 40-cents off Skippy q’s
$3 off CVS brand q

Total = $9.53
I paid with 9 ECB and 53 cents cash, and got back 3 ECB for the Axe.

Nothing too exciting, but not bad! Hope you did great this week! To see how everyone else did, check out CVS Superstars at the Centsible Sawyer and Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom!
