I’ve never participated in Wordless Wednesday before, but this tree in the park about a block from my parent’s house left me speechless. It was toppled on Sunday by Hurricane Ike’s remnants.

WOW!!! That is awesome.
Great photos.
Good morning Emily, wow… what a huge tree to have been up rooted..so many people have lost everything..we were lucky with only some rain and no high winds..thanks for sharing. Baba
Isn’t it crazy? There is a tree that was uprooted and looks very similar -with the ground and all – down the block from my office in front of the Berry building. Great pictures.
PS. I saw 13 – maybe 15 – tree trimming service trucks with Michigan plates headed south on I-75 this morning.
Oh wow, that is incredible! Glad it fell in front of the playground instead of ON it.
Woah. A neighbor of ours had two trees go over like this is an ice storm earlier this year. Two more of her trees went across our road and my husband had to pull them to the side with his truck.
Mother nature is fierce.
Wow..that is a great shot.. holy cow..
Funny… my WW is the same topic– a photo of Hurricane Ike’s damage all the way up in Michigan. Happy WW!
Wow! That’s crazy!
Oh my goodness! Looks like you got it even worse than we did in Indiana! We were without power for about 36 hours due to a tree taking down power lines. Amazing that Ike reached so far!
WOW. That’s incredible!
I saw the pics last night on your flickr site, and saw similar pics on daytondailynews.com.
On a side note, my next door neighbor has power and I do not. I am trying reeely hard to be patient about it.
Holy cow! That’s crazy!
HOLY CRAP!!! That is crazy.
