It is raining for the eleventy-bajillionith day in a row, Sophie doesn’t have school for the 2nd day in a row because they are testing the preschoolers this week and her day to go is tomorrow, AND
AND
AND
my coffee maker is apparently broken.
And no, it’s not a breaker. I have plugged it into every outlet in the kitchen, and tested other appliances to see if they work and…other appliances work.
My coffee maker does not.
So do I drag two kids out in the rain to get coffee, or do I just pretend Mountain Dew is coffee?
Or do I start sending smoke signals??
Blargh.
Hang an upside down Starbucks flag outside your door. I think that is the international symbol for a broken coffee pot. I’ll drink an extra cup for ya! π
That made me laugh out loud!
That amused me too. I think it should be the international symbol of coffee-related distress. Then neighbors would know to either send coffee or stay away. LOL
Jenny, call your nearest neighbor and explain your plight. I’m sure they will understand and bring you coffee!
I totally took a 2 hours past her naptime, crying in the backseat of the car, almost 2 year old through the taco bell drive-thru on Sunday because w/o Mt. Dew my soul dies. I refuse to feel guilty.
There has to be a Waffle House in that town somewhere!!
Go have a little Redneck Latte!
UP
You have options, Jenny. I love Macy’s idea. Here are two more options for you.
1. Buy a french press. It doesn’t require electricity, therefore it can’t short out on you.
2. Buy some Starbucks VIA packets. My husband is a total coffee snob and he uses them all the time.
A little rain tid-bit…it rained 22 out of 30 days in April!
As far as the coffee issue goes, I totally agree with the flag hanging upside down! Someone surely could understand the problem you are facing and could drive by and drop some off that is close to you?! GOOD LUCK!! π
