This week I’ve been sort of… um… pessimistic. Grumpy. Bitchy, even (I still feel bad about grumbling about potluck dinners and my husband thinks I’ve gotten us blackballed from all future social events… that remains to be seen. It’s gotta be a coincidence that we don’t have any weekend plans, right?). Really, there’s no reason for my bad attitude, so I am going to switch things up a little and look on the bright side (totally unlike me, I know.)
So in no particular order, here are the things I’m excited about today.
1) My new prized possession. Last night when I came home from work, this was waiting for me:
A combination birthday/anniversary/just because present from my wonderful husband. It. is. awesome. The first thing I did was download Facebook, Twitterific, and Skype but I’m guessing this thing has the capability to do things beyond feed my social networking addiction, so if you have any suggestion for awesome apps, let me know.
2) Our upcoming vacation. In just a few weeks, we’re going here:
The Tamarack Lodge in Traverse City Michigan. I can’t wait. It really warrants two pictures.
Ah, perfection.
3) This baby bump.
That’s my sister and my about-to-be-born niece. It’s 10 days until her due date, and while it seems to Anna that her pregnancy is never going to end, the baby will be here any day.
4) It’s Friday. Enough said.
So, friends, what are you excited about today?
the fact that you are going to come see me on your way home from that awesome lodge!
I love Friday, so that is excitement enough. I’ve also decided that I need a temporary husband, you know, one that buys me AWESOME things!!! Yaye for babies…
I’m also ready to get surgery out of the way…it’s almost here.
Picking up my man scout from boy scout camp today! The husband has been stuck with sweaty boys for a week and has been much missed!
I’m excited that I got to sleep in a little bit today, and that our Operation Vanessa vigil went well last night!
We so were heading up to Traverse City – or so we thought – until we tried to make reservations a couple of weeks ago and EVERY THING is booked. Have a great trip!
Oh and I am soo excited that I am on a weekend get away with a dear friend WITH OUT kids!! Woot!
I have an iPad too, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I especially enjoy the google earth app; it’s great for traveling in the car. The $30 a month, no contract unlimited 3G AT&T plan in the way to go with the iPad! I know you’ll love it as much as I do mine!
Anna’s baby and the return of Edison Volquez to the Reds’ pitching rotation.
Shelby’s birthday celebration…she’s 25!

Jealous of your iPad. Have a look at flipBoard. Since no one has bestowed an iPad on me, I don’t know if this is a good app or not. But it looked interested to me when I originally saw it. http://www.flipboard.com/
