My hubby had a 5-mile race he does every Thanksgiving called the “Turkey Trot” so I had to wait ’til he got home to hit the drugstores. It’s JUST not Thanksgiving without a good drugstore. Fortunately, I was on my way by 11 am. Here’s what I got! First, Rite Aid. I actually had to go to two Rite Aid’s because my regular store doesn’t carry the Cotonelle wipes which were a big part of my plan. I went ahead and got my other deals at the 1st store though, because I found some exciting clearance there! They had Arm & Hammer essentials cleaner for 74 cents and the refill 2-packs for 99 cents! I picked up several since I really like this cleaner! Here’s what I got:
1st store:
2 Lime Crush 2-liters $1.34 each = $2.68
2 Reese’s peanut butter cups 50 cents each = $1
Vaseline for men $2.99
Vaseline w/ aloe $2.99
Got 2B hairspray $4.99
Colgate toothpaste $1.77
Colgate toothbrush $1.77
Arm & Hammer cleaner 74 cents
Arm & Hammer refills 99 cents x 3 = $2.97
Windex multi-surface 99 cents
Vick’s Sinex $4.99
total = $27.88
coupons:
-$5/25 Rite Aid printable
-$2 two Vaseline q’s from recent Red Plum insert
-$4 Vicks Sinex (from coupons in pkg. of Duracell batteries I bought a couple weeks ago!)
-$1 Colgate Total Rite Aid video values coupon
-$1 Colgate 360 toothbrush Rite Aid video values coupon
-$3 +UP Rewards from last week
total =$11.88 and I got back 1 +UP Reward for the candy, 4 (2 each) +UP Rewards for the Vaseline, 2 for the Sinex, for a total of 6 +UP Rewards. I SHOULD have gotten 1 each for the Colgate toothbrush & toothpaste, for a total of 8, but they didn’t print! So I will have to contact customer service to get those. I will also get back a $4.99 Single Check Rebate for the Got2B hairspray. So, if I get my 2 +UP Rewards my profit will be about $1 on that transaction. 🙂
Next, I had to hit the other Rite Aid to get those wipes. Sophie and Joshua’s little buns demanded it! And so did my coupons! I got:
3 Cottonelle tubs $1.88 each = $5.64
Two 100 Grand candy bars $1
Flash cards on clearance (for Sophie’s stocking) $1.99
total =$8.63
coupons:
-$1.88 Free Cottonelle tub (mailer)
-$2 two $1 off Cottonelle printables
-$1 Cottonelle wipes October Rite Aid Video Values
-$1/2 Cottonelle wipes November Rite Aid Video Values
=$2.75 – with tax paid $3.08 and got back 4 +UP Rewards, 1 for the candy and 3 total for the Cottonelle!
YAY for Rite Aid!
Next, I hit CVS. I wasn’t too enthused about the deals but I actually ended up doing really well!
Eucerin lotion $6.99
Gillette deodorant $4
Herbal Essences $3.99
2 Colgate Sensitive $3.99 each = $7.98
Listerine pocket paks $2.99
Excedrin 8 count 99 cents
=$26.94
-$5/$25 CVS email coupon
-$1 Eucerin from recent insert
– 50 cents Herbal Essences from recent insert
-$2 Gillette from 10/31 P&G
=$12.94
I used my get $4 ECB when you spend $20 voucher from the Holiday Savings Book so I got $4 ECB for that, and everything I bought was FREE after ECB, so I got $26.94 additional back for a total of $30.94 in ECB, and $18 profit (before tax.) !! Yippeee!! I haven’t done that well in a while! And I didn’t even buy ALL the freebies they had!
Both of these drug store sales go thru Saturday so go get shopping!!!! What did YOU get??
i hit Rite Aid as well and took my mom this time to show her how to do the UP reward thing 🙂 Think she’s hooked now too!
I never found that holiday book and I NEVER get e-mail coupons. I also didn’t get the $10 off of $50 that many at my store were getting at check out.
I love the got2b hair products, I couldn’t get to RA today though… on my long list for tomorrow!
My Colgate +Up didn’t print either! There were two other ladies at RA who had the same complaint. The manager said it may have been because the coupons made it free, I ended up returning it. I love shopping at Rite Aid but this time the cashiers gave me a hassle for using my +UPs in the next transaction. Apparently, Rite Aid may be changing their policy on +UPs. I had to put on my game face because I knew there was no such WRITTEN policy.
