Foraging.

Sunday morning, I walked out into the kitchen and saw this.

And then I saw this.

And then I googled “What happens when you eat uncooked corn on the cob?” (Apparently nothing. Sam lived to tell about it.)

Boys are gross.

  1. Looks like you have a candidate for “Survivor” on your hands. Kudos to the kid for not waking mommy UP and fending for himself…I know 20 year olds who can’t do that!!

And, after checking in with Mrs. Duggar, again, she has no sympathy for you (and Jenny), “Let the little boogers fend for themselves, I say!, I’ve cooked long enough, plus, corn, raw or cooked, will clean him out!”

    UP

  2. It could have been WAY worse. My kids “forgage” through the candy cabinet and baking supplies. 🙂

  3. Our son often chooses to have his corn uncooked. It tastes the best when it’s only boiled for 2 minutes, anyway, so I doubt that the boiling is doing little more than heating it up. Not really ‘cooking’ it.

  4. Haha! Raw corn definitely won’t hurt him! My boys like to get into the freezer and eat frozen corn dogs…yuck! What is it with boys and scrounging for food?!

  5. Have you ever tried raw corn? Not gross, DELICIOUS!!! When I was little my mom and I used to stop at roadside stands and get a couple of ears of sweet corn and eat them right then and there….
Thanks for the nice memory! 🙂

  6. Molly loves raw corn, we have to warn dinner guests that their ear of corn may have a few bite marks in it!
