Bloggy Giveaway: $25 Kroger gift card from the NEW Kroger.com!

It’s Bloggy Giveaway time again! Woo-hoo!! This time we are giving you the chance to win a $25 Kroger gift card courtesy of the NEW Kroger.com! Kroger has recently re-vamped their website and it is great! I’ve used it in the past and I really like the new features a lot, so I want to highlight a few of them for you. Since I’ve recently become a crazy couponer, I am using store websites more than ever to carefully plan my trips and deals. Kroger.com has some great tools to help with that. If you create an account in the “My Kroger” section, you can indicate your preferred store. Then you can look at the weekly ad online, and add specials from the sale paper directly to your shopping list, which Kroger.com saves for you! This feature was so convenient. I just clicked on the item in the ad that I was interested in, and a larger picture of the item and sale details appeared. Then I just clicked “add to list” and it appeared on my shopping list at the left margin of the screen! The list stayed there even when I went on to look at other items. Very cool! You can also print the list when you are done and take it right to the store with you!

Another feature I really like is the ability to print coupons! If you click on the “In Store” section, you can click on “coupons” and it will take you to Kroger-applicable coupons on Coupons.com, which you can then select and print. You can also load coupons from Procter & Gamble products such as Pampers, Tide, and Pantene directly to your Kroger Plus card online! I LOVE this feature, because these e-coupons can be combined with paper coupons in-store. Let’s say you have a P&G e-coupon on your Kroger Plus card for 50 cents off of Tide. If you have a paper coupon for Tide from the newspaper for $1 off, you can use both and get $1.50 off! Pretty cool!

Kroger.com also offers some other great convenience features perfect for busy moms. You can refill your rescriptions online, upload digital photos to the Kroger photo center, and even order flowers and have them delivered from the Kroger Floral department! Talk about a one-stop-shop!

The last feature I would like to mention is that there are lots of great recipes featured on Kroger.com that have been tested by the Kroger chefs. If you see one you like, you can just click and have all the ingredients loaded to your shopping list! You don’t have to write the ingredients down or make a separate list. Again, what a great, convenient time-saver!

This is Emily now… I just had to jump in and tell you how much I came to love Kroger.com this weekend! Like Jenny mentioned, you can go through the weekly ad and make your grocery list very easily. I also used the “add note” feature to put everything else I needed to get on there, so that my list was complete. It was great to do this at my computer because I could flip over and look for recipes or coupons or whatever.

The whole process led me to planning out my grocery list much more than I usually do… which also means I was throwing much less random crap into my cart when I was actually at the store. Since I was choosing sale items from the ad, I ended up only spending $82 and I saved $30! I also ended up with more “complete meals” than I would have if I was going off the cuff.

  3. I grew up with Krogers bing the only one around to shop at and loved it. I do not have one near anymore and miss it, but my mom lives right next to one. I had no idea they were online.

  4. I usually shop Wal-mart, but what I really like about Kroger that I don’t like about WM is that they have good prices on their meats. I will go out of my way to buy my meats there if they are on sell.

  8. I have been shopping at Kroger for about 6 months or so now b/c of convenience. I like it. My city has like 20 gazillion Krogers, so go two blocks and you hit another one. It’s convenient. I need to get into coupons, etc., so i’ll make sure to try the website! thanks for the heads up!

  11. I love shopping at Kroger because its convenient, and its layout is easily understood. When I’m in a hurry, I can run in, get what I need, self-checkout super easy, and I’m back out in a flash.

  17. I like shopping at Kroger because they have some really great sales sometimes, and because they are close to my home. They also have the disinfecting wipes for the carts, which I think is very nice.

  20. Kroger is my favorite grocery store. It is close to home, and I see lots of my neighbors and friends there. I like the Kroger card, and I love the coupons that are printed out when I shop as well as the special coupons they will send me in the mail based on my shopping history. They carry some very high quality items at my local Kroger, as well, and I think they base what they carry on the type of clientle who regularly shop there. I like knowing the names of the employees as well.

  27. I shop at Kroger because they offer scrip (giftcards) which we buy from our school and gives our school money and us tuition reimbursement.

  33. Wow – great review of Kroger’s website!!! I’m on a mission to do better menu planning and grocery shopping this year – and it sounds like this will really help!

    I like shopping at my Kroger because (A) it’s the closest grocery store to my house, (B) they have a great selection of organics, and (C) I think their produce is the freshest and most reasonably priced of all the grocery stores I’ve visited since we moved here.

  34. I’ll have to check out the new Kroger.com. I love all the features that you mentioned. We enjoy shopping at Kroger for all of the great deals and double coupons. I just picked up blocks of Kraft cheese for 80 cents a piece. What a great deal!!

  35. Ooh, great practical prize! Love it! Kroger to us is the “out of town” shop and it offers variety that we don’t get from the grocers here in town. It’s a special treat to shop at Kroger!

  36. I love Kroger because every time I check out, a bazillion Gerber coupons print out! I buy baby food like nobody’s business, so the coupons are always a plus!

    Everything is easy to find
    Good prices and Sales
    The ederly greeters are the best. My favorite is theis nicest man…he always gives us a smile and my daughter a high five, pulls us out a cart, and makes small talk, he is equally as nice as we are leaving the store…I really do love him.
    The people that have special needs as the baggers…GREAT for daughter to learn that a disabilty doesn’t have to hold you back.
    And of course the free cookie from the bakery!

    I usually go to Kroger for the things that I have trouble finding at other stores! They have a great selection of produce that the kids just gobble up 🙂

  44. I loved the double, triple, and Super Double coupon days they used to have. They still double but not sure about the others as we live an hour from the nearest one (it’s near my children’s pediatrician’s office). I pop in there when I’m in the area for great meat deals.
