So, one of the fun and unexpected perks of my unplanned third child has been that I’ve gotten some wonderful baby products to review. We gave away pretty much all of our baby stuff because we thought we were done – whoops! – so getting to review baby products has been a real blessing for us. And this product in particular has been awesome – the BestView Handheld Color Video Monitor from Summer Infant Products.
It is pretty much the bomb diggity of all baby monitors. We LOVE it!
This monitor is 100% digital so you have a secure transmission – no one else is going to be seeing your baby! And the picture is so amazingly clear! We were wanting a video monitor this time around because Jonah will be sharing a room with Joshua and you never know what that pesky older sister might be up to when baby’s napping…since the kids’ rooms are on the upper floor of our house, it is great for me to be able to look at the screen and see what is (or isn’t!) going on in the boys’ room.
You can also turn off the video if you just want sound for awhile -which is what I prefer to do at night, then flip the video on if I hear something that needs investigating.
Besides the outstandingly clear picture, the other awesome feature of this monitor is that you can control the camera remotely from the monitor. You can move the camera up, right, left, or down to follow along as your baby gets mobile in his or her crib. Love it!
