We had a great time trick-or-treating last night, as always (Jenny’s going to post about that I think!) but this morning?????
OMG, my children were a mess. A MESS.
It was horrible… I do not envy elementary school teachers this morning! (Or ever, really. There must be a special place reserved for them in heaven.)
Was is just mine or do your kids have a Halloween Hangover too?
I teach fourth grade…surprisingly, they are very well-behaved this morning! They were a little rowdy when they got here, wanting to share every detail of their night, but now that we have gotten down to business, they are fine!
My hangover is planned for Sunday morning.
I had to DRAG Sophie out of bed today and help her get dressed. She was extremely hungover. As was I, and Bobby actually too had a hard time getting moving because he has a cold, so I had to help get Joshua ready too! We could all use a do-over! It was fun though! 🙂
My candy ‘problem’ started with Halloween. There is no 12 step program!
UP
This is the start of the most magical yet most spaztastic time of the year. Teachers dread it, because it all starts with Halloween, then lots of time off in November (Veterans Day & Thanksgiving) then a couple more weeks of spazzy, “I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL CHRISTMAS!” time, only to have a couple MORE weeks off, to return to school in January full-fledged maniacs.
This is only the beginning… oy.
Every year as a teacher, I HATED the day after Halloween. Especially those kids that only bring candy for lunch the next day. Grr.
