My little son Joshua, at four-and-a-half, has reached a major milestone in his young life. He’s got his first crush, and he’s got it bad. Just who is the lucky gal? Well, her name is Natalie. She’s everything a mother would want for her son. She’s cute, she’s sweet, she’s polite, and…she’s our CVS cashier!
That’s right, my son has fallen for one of my favorite CVS cashiers. And why not? We see her 4,000 times a week so it was bound to happen. It’s very convenient for me, as now the child actually wants to go to CVS. Instead of groaning when I announce we’re going, he now says, “Can we go to Natalie’s CVS?” or “You know I like to go to the one where Natalie is, Mom.” (When we go and she is not working, it is a major bummer for both of us. He is not so pleasant a shopper without having Natalie to look forward to at the checkout!) He always wants to bring one of his toys to show her and enjoys telling her some fun fact about his life. Last week it was, “I’m gonna tell Natalie I’m going on a field trip.” She always humors him and I think is appropriately flattered that such a cute little boy is sweet on her.
So there ya have it. Love blooms at CVS. He loves her ’cause she’s nice and I love her ’cause she takes all my coupons. It’s the perfect arrangement! Now as long as she doesn’t mind getting married until she’s forty, this whole thing should work out really well!
Oh Jenny, you are passing your crazy onto your son!!
Auhhhh. That is so sweet. I am lucky. Sean hasn’t really had a real crush yet.
Maybe I can hook Faith up with a Starbucks barista… that would make my day!
Heehee…that might be one of the cutest things I have heard in a while!
Very sweet 🙂
That’s so sweet! What more could you ask for in a girl for your son?
Hee. That’s so cute! And convenient, too.
He knows how to pick them doesn’t he?
