This afternoon I got the idea to pick my son Joshua’s brain. He’s almost four, so he’s definitely old enough to be interviewed by his personal Mommy Blogger. I hope you’ll find his answers to my thought-provoking questions as interesting as I did! Enjoy!

J: Joshua
Mom: How old are you?
J: I’m three.
Mom: What’s your favorite toy?
J:The Big Strong Engine (Gordon from Thomas the Tank Engine)

(Here he interrupts my questioning)
J: Remember the other day at night-nights when I made the word p*rn and made you laugh?
Mom: Yes, I remember, and Mommy and Daddy laughed because we thought it was funny, but really, it’s not a nice word.
J: Like how not nice?
Mom: Like…you just can’t say it. You have to trust me.
J: Mom, What does p*rn mean?
Mom: It’s just not a nice word, honey, like hate.
J: Ohh.

Mom: What’s the biggest problem facing kids today?
J: I don’t know. Do you know?
Mom: It’s probably that they aren’t as cute as you kiddo.
J: Oh yeah. I need to go potty!
Mom: Just one more question, then. Who loves you Bubby?
J: (pointing at me) YOU love me!
That’s right, kiddo, I sure do!! After all, what’s not to love?
Smart kiddo! I should try interviewing mine. She’s about the same age.
Too cute!!! Tell him aunt ruthie loves him!
I miss your kiddos. Don’t let them grow up too fast before I see them again. Thanks for the card and pictures. The girls loved them… and I did too.
Awwwww. I love that he has a favorite letter! 🙂
Seems he still has p*rn on his mind! Hope that doesn’t come back to haunt you (i.e. in a quiet place surrounded by old ladies!)
such a cute post! i love what kids say…and i love following their train of thought…get it? train of thought…oh, i crack myself up!
“Like how not nice?”–HaHaHa! My son tests the limits on all similar instructions the same way! Great interview!
That interview offered real insight into today’s modern toddler. Every few generations, someone needs to do this. What have we learned? Pretty much every color rocks and trains are cool and the interview always ends at potty time. 🙂
Good answers. I’m not sure I could get mine to answer them as well and they’re much older…lol
This should be a meme. I in fact might make it one and claim it as my own. Ok, I won’t do that, but I may interview Lily for the blog. I am a little scared, but I can always chicken out and not post.
that was totally cute! 🙂
