Really, what can I tell you about Stride Rite that you don’t already know? Stride Rite has been the brand to trust in kids’ shoes for as long as I can remember – that’s always where we went for shoes when I was a kid, and it’s where I have taken my kids since they were babies!
Recently, Stride Rite introduced a new program intended to make it easier for moms to choose the ‘Rite’ shoe for their children’s growing feet. The comprehensive STEP (Scientifically Tested Everyday Proven) program outlines the best shoe for each stage of development.
Step 1: Prewalkers – Robeez by Stride Rite (Jenny & I swear by Robeez!) are soft-soled shoes designed to help a child’s foot develop naturally… the next best thing to being barefoot!
Step 2: Cruisers & Early Walkers – SRT Soft Motion offers flexible soles and are designed to protect and support feet without restricting movement. Sam had some of these when he was little and I thought they were great (and they also come in wide for his little Fred Flintstone feet!).
Step 3: Off & Running – Sensory Response Technology is made for active toddlers and is designed to optimize the biomechanics of the foot to allow children to develop healthy and natural walking patterns.
Stride Rite sent us these shoes to test out on Sam:
When I opened the box I knew we would love them… because we had already bought the same shoes several months ago. They are so cute!

We love stride rite shoes. My almost 21 month old has extra wide feet which were originally double extra wide and this was the place for us then and it remains that way still. Every few months they send me a reminder card about getting his feet remeasured and they are so helpful in the store (balloons don’t hurt). I tell everyone about my shoe store! A gift card to get him shoes (especially with a husband who has been out of work since July) would be amazing!
I’ll be honest – my favorite kids shoes are Tskihoshi sneakers. I find their qualityand fit to be great for my girl with a tall footbed and they wash up reallly well. Next in line would be Stride Rite tennies for sure.
I love saucony gym shoes

I have one pair of Stride Rites for my 1 year old. They are the only shoes I’ve found that fit her wide little feet. Any other shoes I tried either didn’t fit at all, or left red marks on her feet, and obviously hurt her. I would love to be able to get her more Stride Rites as she grows!
My little can only wear Stride Rites!!! He has really wide”biscuit” feet 🙂
