We’re at it again – this is the first of TEN giveaways we’ll be posting today and tomorrow… stay tuned, you don’t want to miss any of them!
I don’t know a lot about cookware (although I am learning!), so when I go to buy it, I always look for a brand I recognize. Few brands are more recognizable (and affordable) than Better Homes and Gardens – and we’re giving away one of their Non-Stick Hard-Anodized 13-piece cookware sets!
The set includes:
— 1.5 QT covered sauce pan
— 2.5 QT covered sauce pan with steamer insert
— 4 QT covered dutch oven
— 8.5 inch skillet
— 10 inch skillet
— 8 QT covered stock pot
— 4 QT covered deep skillet.
I have to say, out of all of those pieces I was most excited about the stock pot! In my (perhaps a little too thorough) recent kitchen organization spell, I got rid of the three stock pots I had. All of them were awful, and the last time I made mac and cheese in one of them there were black flecks in the food. YUCK. However, I have discovered that stock pots are pretty much a necessity around the kitchen, so I was thrilled to receive this high-quality one!
I was also intrigued by the dutch oven. I wasn’t sure what it was for, so of course I googled it. It turns out you can use it for just about anything. I am going to use it to try out a new family favorite – chicken tortilla soup.
Better Homes and Gardens also offers cookware in tri-ply stainless steel and non-stick porcelain enamel.

I am definitely in need of a new set of cookware and the hard anodized is what I want to get. I’d love to make my Shrimp with Feta in this new set.
When I think of BH&G, I think of the magazine and lovely pictures. Pictures that I would LOVE for my house to look like 🙂 Awesome giveaway!! Thanks!
My mom used to get the magazine years ago
i think “reliable”
When I think of Better Homes & Gardens I think right away of recipes for great home cooked food and beautiful traditional home decorating. I would love to have new pans to make the best omelets and pancakes. Our omelet pan gets so much use that I have to buy a new one every year. Eggs are a staple around our house, between making omelets, scrambled eggs and chopping up fried eggs for fried rice and veggies! And tis the season for making soups so if I can’t make them in my crockpot, I have to have a good stock pot for the best soups with barley or brown rice and chicken and lots of veggies.
dutch ovens are awesome for cooking while camping or making campinbg recipes at home. love em
like on facebook — thanks for all the awesome giveaways
I think of the magazine that my grandma always got.
I’ve long wanted to try the NY Times no-knead bread recipe that you cook in a pot, but I don’t have a pot suitable for doing this – I would love to try it out in the dutch oven that is part of this set!
i love to make homemade soups in the winter and that Dutch oven would be perfect for that. Can you imagine it? Curried butternut soup bubbling away on the stove and hot crusty bread to go with it.
I didn’t even realize that they made cookware. I always think of the magazine when I hear Better Homes and Gardens.
