We’re at it again – this is the first of TEN giveaways we’ll be posting today and tomorrow… stay tuned, you don’t want to miss any of them!
I don’t know a lot about cookware (although I am learning!), so when I go to buy it, I always look for a brand I recognize. Few brands are more recognizable (and affordable) than Better Homes and Gardens – and we’re giving away one of their Non-Stick Hard-Anodized 13-piece cookware sets!
The set includes:
— 1.5 QT covered sauce pan
— 2.5 QT covered sauce pan with steamer insert
— 4 QT covered dutch oven
— 8.5 inch skillet
— 10 inch skillet
— 8 QT covered stock pot
— 4 QT covered deep skillet.
I have to say, out of all of those pieces I was most excited about the stock pot! In my (perhaps a little too thorough) recent kitchen organization spell, I got rid of the three stock pots I had. All of them were awful, and the last time I made mac and cheese in one of them there were black flecks in the food. YUCK. However, I have discovered that stock pots are pretty much a necessity around the kitchen, so I was thrilled to receive this high-quality one!
I was also intrigued by the dutch oven. I wasn’t sure what it was for, so of course I googled it. It turns out you can use it for just about anything. I am going to use it to try out a new family favorite – chicken tortilla soup.
Better Homes and Gardens also offers cookware in tri-ply stainless steel and non-stick porcelain enamel.

Wow, I love these pans! I would make all kinds of stuff in them, but the stock pot would get used the most to make mac and cheese, 7 can soup, sausage macaroni skillet, and all kinds of other things. Better Homes and Gardens reminds me of when I was growing up. I even enjoyed the magazine as a child. ๐
It always makes me think of when my mom’s magazine would come in the mail when I was a kid, and she would sit down and read it cover to cover, folding down the corners of the pages of things that she wanted to try.

When I think of Better Homes and Gardens I think of my Mama. When I was growing up the only magazine my Mama made sure always graced our mail box was BH&G. That was the only one she could afford and she would spend every free minute reading it and anxiously waiting for the new one to arrive.
I love Better Homes and Gardens!! Great recipes, awesome home decorating ideas and love the garden section!!!
BHG makes me think of beautifully presented articles that are usually do-able for the average reader.
I have you on blog reader ever since I learned how to use a blog reader. Love your blog!
The first thing I think of when I hear better homes and garden is the cook book my grandma gave me from her collection. It’s great it has notes next to most the receipts and so many memories.
I think of the magazine! We have three generations of ladies in our family that will pass them around for us all to enjoy!
WHen I think of Better Homes and Gardens, I think of the magazine – with all the pretty garden scenes on the front. My mom has a huge stack of them for inspiration for her garden.

I love better homes and gardens. This would be awesome. Our pans are from our wedding in 2001 and are starting to get bad.
