This week we had the opportunity to go to a local park, Wegerzyn Gardens, for a birthday playdate for Joshua’s pal Mitchell. Wegerzyn not only has beautiful gardens and grounds, they also have an amazing outdoor play and learning area, the Children’s Discovery Garden. It includes a man-made creek, cave, and waterfall as well as lots of sand play where kids can make their own gardens, and a wonderful picnic area. If you live in the Dayton area, you should really check it out! It’s free, free, free and fun, fun, fun! Here are some scenes I took in the Children’s Garden.
Mitchell, the birthday boy, celebrates in the waterfall
My scaredy-cat boy would only go behind the waterfall
Sophie wasn’t so sure about the waterfall, but she loved being inside the cave!
Joshua played “Cave Monster”
Which Sophie thought was hilarious!
I love this one of her, too:
We had a great time! For more great photos, check out the Weekly Winners HQ at Sarcastic Mom!
