Word in Drugstore Circles is “Jenny Gets Around”

Oh my goodness, there were so many deals at Walgreens this week that I HAD to do a couple of them, and miracle of miracles they worked! SO once again I am a CVS cheater. OH, CVS you’re still the best!! I just can’t resist getting paid to buy stuff! I’ll go wherever they pay me!

Of course I still went to CVS, too. But I’ll start with Walgreens!

spent $2.46, got back $10

Ahh the infamous Robitussin deal! I paid $3.99 each for the Robitussin and 60 cents for the mentos. I used three $3 off Robitussin coupons and a $2 off Register Reward I’d gotten last week, and paid $2.46 with tax and got back a $10 Register Reward! Can you say profit??

I then took that $10 Register Reward and got this:

walgreens making $7 on this
Excedrin gels $3.99
Crest $3.79
Orajel toddler toothpaste $3.99 (for my little Sophie-So’s toofers)

I used my $10 RR and a 75 cents off Crest coupon, paid $1.84 with tax and will get back over $8 in rebates from the Crest and the Excedrin! Yippee!

Ok, on to CVS!

cvs - made $3

Then, I got this:

Finally, there was this:
My mom needed body wash and Sophie needed 2-in-1 shampoo! Gotta keep that girl’s hair conditioned!

Ok, FINALLY, I swear I am almost done, but Meijer was having their fabulous 1/2 Lysol sale which I always like to hit hard. I got ALL THIS for…

74 cents for all this at meijer

..wait for it….74 CENTS!!!! Woohoo!! I had a coupon for each item that was either $1 off or doubled to $1 off. That made the toilet bowl cleaners 4 cents each and the wipes 24 cents each. The all-purpose cleaner was 39 cents! I also had a $5 off catalina coupon I had gotten for buying 5 Speed Stick deodorants (which were $2 each, and I had five $1 off coupons, so I spent $5, got back $5!) which I used to bring my total down to just 74 cents. My cashier was MORE than impressed. Now I am way stocked up on wipes for us & some friends & family again!

Ok, I am finally done. I was very happy to come in at $1.50 under budget this week for household and groceries (yes, I DID also buy food at Meijer! Got a bunch of freebies!) How did you do? I’ve Been a Bad Girl!

I am feeling very guilty this week. I was very unfaithful to CVS! As a matter of fact, I hardly went to CVS at all! The deals weren’t all that compelling. But I did hit up Walgreens last Saturday to get a couple of last-minute deals. Then I ran to CVS right after cause I felt so guilty. Oh, the shame! Anyways, here’s what I got.

wagsfrieda.JPG
2 John Frieda hairspray BOGO 50% off $9.70 (total)
1 Glade Scented Oil plug-ins BOGO Free $4.79
total = $14.49

coupons: $3/2 John Frieda
$4 off Glade Scented Oil (they wouldn’t take my BOGO coupons BOO WALGREENS!!)
total = $7.49
With tax I paid $8.54 and I got back a NINE DOLLAR register reward for the John Frieda and will get $2.20 rebate for the Glade! oot! Thanks Walgreens! The beauty of this is that you were supposed to be three Frieda products to get the $9 RR, but for some reason, the way Walgreens registers are set up, they think you are buying three when there is a BOGO %50 off sale. I’ll take it!

Next I did this, still at Walgreens:

wagshuggies.JPG
Huggies $9.49
Plates BOGO free $2.99
Chemistry leave-in conditioner $7.99
Total = $20.47

Coupons:
$9 Register Reward from first transaction
$1 off Huggies
$3 off Chemistry hair care from Aug Easy Saver Catalog (last day I could use that q!)
Total = $7.47. With tax it was $8.40. I used $5.34 on a rebate gift card from last month and paid $3.06 cash. I will get back $8.80 rebate for the Chemistry hair care and I got a $2 Register Reward for the Huggies! So I made a good profit on that! Yay!

Finally, on to my measly CVS transaction. (Sorry CVS, you know I love you, but you can do better this week!)

cvscg.JPG

CVS plastic cups $2.79
200 Straws clearance $.49
Two Colgate toothpaste $5.98
1 CoverGirl Wetslicks lip gloss $5.99
Total = $15.25

Coupons:
CVS $2/$10
Two $1 off Colgate manu q’s
$2 off Colgate CRT
$1 off Cover Girl manu q

Total = $8.25
I paid with 7.99 ECB and 49 cents cash and got back 4 ECB for the toothpaste and 5.99 ECB for the Cover Girl! Woohoo! I needed the cups for our Labor Day cookout so I was pleased to get all that for a small profit!

That’s all for me this week. Hope you all did great! To see how everyone else did, check out CVS Superstars at The Centsible Sawyer and Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom!

Ok, last one. This was a fun one. God is good. Before this week, we were down to about a box & a half of cereal. Thanks to CVS and Meijer this week, we now have TWELVE boxes!

Ok, on to Meijer. I FINALLY got some good grocery deals this week after weeks of NO GOOD SALES. Shew! I made an impromptu trip on Sunday night with NO LIST and still did pretty well so I was pumped. I got allthis for $26.72:

meijer2672.JPG

The Cheerios were $1.67 and I had 5 $1 off coupons from signing up for the Cheerios Challenge. The Fiber One bars ended up being 88 cents after doubled coupons. There were tear pads with “buy 3 Kraft products, get free Wheat Thins” coupons (also Oscar Mayer hot dogs!) so I got a couple of those and bought the 20 cent Kool-Aid packets to use as my three Kraft items. I also had a coupon like this for the cheese, which I got from “All You” magazine. So, free cheese! Before Coupons my total was 55 dollars and change, so I was thrilled with this trip! Then on my way out, I noticed a sign by the door. They were having a promotion where if you bought $10 worth of Nabisco cookies or crackers, you could get $10 off three packages of Fruit of the Loom basics. Well, the FREE Wheat Things are part of this promotion, so I went back and got this!

meijer959.JPG

All this for $9.59. I bought Kool-Aid packets to qualify as my 3 Kraft items to get the Wheat Thins and the hot dogs FREE. The Wheat Thins then took $10 off my three packages of socks (which were originally $4.59 EACH!!) I had $1 off coupons for the Lean Cuisine, which were on sale for $1.99, so I got them for 99 cents each. $9.59 for ALL THAT!? I was thrilled!

Allright, that’s all I got. Hope you did great this week too! To see more fabulous coupon action, check out CVS Superstars at the Centsible Sawyer and Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom!
