I’m Having a Party!

A few weeks ago I posted about how I was looking for some great books for Joshua to read.  And, you, my faithful readers did not let me down with some great advice!  He’s now really enjoying the Magic Tree House series.  Before I posted that, however, I had decided to host an Usborne Books party, because some of Joshua’s favorite books like this one about Dinosaurs and this one about Reptiles are Usborne Books!  And they make my absolute FAVORITE books for babies and toddlers, the “That’s not My...” series of touchy-feely books (we have Baby, Lion, Dinosaur, and Dolly!), and I want to start building a library of those for Jonah.

So, I wanted to extend the offer to you, my readers, to enjoy Usborne as well!  You can place an order through my party link here and your books will be shipped right to your door!  All you have to do is order by midnight on Tuesday, November 16th.  And since you’ll be ordering online, you can take advantage of Usborne’s internet-only specials and closeouts which are 40-70% off!!  Lots of great books like this one, 365 Things to Make and Do which is only $4.92, are cheap cheap cheap!

So, get holiday book shopping here at Usborne and get some great books for your little ones and it will help me earn some books for mine!  Feel free to pass this link along to grandparents or friends who might want to order too.

Happy Reading!

Rite Aid: Where Money is Made

Rite Aid has some great deals this week! I wasn’t in dire “need” of anything there, but it was all good stuff we will use, and when there is money to be made, I’m there!  So here’s what I got:

DSC02308

Two Nivea for Men bodywash $3.99 each = $7.98

Two Halls cough drops 2/$3

Crest w/ Scope $2.99

Oral B toothbrush $299

Two Crest Pro Health, $3.49 each = $6.98

Clearance Junior Mints 99 cents (mama LIKES!)

total = $24.93 (I meant for my total to be over $25, but apparently, I CANNOT add.)

Coupons:

-$5/$25 Rite Aid printable (the coupon went thru fine, perhaps because it was over $25 w/ tax??)

-$6 Two Nivea for Men $3 off coupons, one from recent Red Plum and one printable

-$3 three $1 off Crest from 10/31 P&G insert

-$.75 Oral B from 10/31 P&G insert

-$1/2 Halls from today’s inserts

-$.50 Halls Rite Aid video values coupon

-$3 +UP rewards from last week’s trip

total = $5.68 + #1.33 tax = $7.01. I paid with my gift card from a past rebate and got back 10.99 +UP Rewards!  5 (two x 2.50) for the Crest Pro-Health, 2.99 for the Crest w/Scope, 2 (two x1) for the Nivea for Men, 1 for the Halls.  The Oral B toothbrush was the same deal as the Crest w/Scope and it only printed me one 2.99 +UP reward, so I guess that is a true limit of 1.  But I was still pretty happy with ZERO out-of-pocket and 10.99 to take home with me!  I LOVE getting paid to shop!!! It’s pretty much the best thing ever.

What did YOU get!?

CVS Success!

I went in to CVS today with zero ECBs, so I wanted to get the best deal I could – we really NEEDED some dishwasher detergent and I’ve been waiting for a deal for months!  (I finally had to break down and buy some at Kroger last week for $1.99 as part of the mega-event!) I had also gotten a $5/$30 coupon in my email that I wanted to use – so here’s what I worked out.

DSC02309

Four Finish Gelpacs $3 each = $12

Lysol wipes 80-count $4

Benefiber $10

Three Excedrin Back & Body $2 each = $6

Gain dishwashing liquid $.99

Total = $32.99

Coupons:

-$5/$30 CVS email coupon

-$3 four 75-cent Finish coupons (3 were printables from coupons.com, one from today’s SmartSource)

-$2.50 Benefiber printable (not sure if it’s still available?)

-$1 Lysol coupon from today’s SmartSource

-$3 three $1 off Excedrin printables from Excedrin.com

-$1 Gain from recent P&G (adjusted to 99 cents)

-$5/$15 purchase of health-care related items from CVS coupon scanner (details in ad, Excedrin & Benefiber qualified)

total = 12.50 = Tax = $13.83 and I got back 5 ECB for the Finish and Lysol.  Not bad for all of that!! Especially since I really, really, really, REALLY neeeeded the Finish!  And of course we will use everything else!

SO, that’s what I got at CVS this week!  What did YOU get!?
