CVS Deals Matched with Competitor’s Coupons, June 22-28

I had a request to once again match up weekly CVS deals with corresponding competitor’s coupons, and I aim to please! I hope you all find this helpful. I know that many CVSes in my area (Dayton, Ohio) take competitor’s coupons; here’s hoping yours does too! If you don’t know, it never hurts to ASK! And I would ask the manager, not the cashier. Here’s what I can see so far.

ECB Deals:
Colgate MaxFresh Burst, Total Advance clean, whitening, or fresh toothpaste 4 oz. $2.49, get back 2 ECB.
There are $1.50 off printable coupons for the Total here and if your CVS considers Target a competitor (I will find out today if mine does! –EDIT – they gladly took them!!), there are $1 printable coupons here. Use both coupons and you will get one penny overage and get back 2 ECBs! Make sure to buy something else so you don’t have a negative total. The limit on this is 5.

Duracell batteries, buy $20 worth get 10 ECB. This can also be combined with Charmin and Bounty, if you don’t want to buy all batteries. The Duracell packs are $5.29, and there are $2 off coupons for these in the Walgreens EasySaver catalog. There were also 75 cents off Duracell coupons in the SmartSource insert a few weeks back. If you by 4 packs of Duracell, the total would be $21.26. Use four $2 off Walgreens coupons and four 75 cent off q’s and your total will be $10.16 plus tax and you’ll get back 10 ECBs!! What a deal! Limit 1.

Pampers Mega Pack $13.99, get back 3 ECB. If you register at My Rite Aid, you will get to print $50 worth of coupons, including a $1 off Pampers coupon. There were also q’s in the 6/1 P&G insert for $2/$2 pampers products, so throw in some wipes if you want to use that coupon. There are also $1.50 off Pampers q’s on some Cheerios boxes. Limit 1. EDIT – there is also a $5 off coupon on the Target coupon website listed above for Pampers if you buy diapers AND 180 count wipes. Since CVS took my other coupons from Target I may try that as well!

By $15 worth of Immodium, Mylanta, Or Pepcid, get back 5 ECB.
There are $2 off Pepcid coupons in the ones you receive from My Rite Aid. There were also $2 off q’s inside the boxes of Pepcid EZ Chews if you got any of those when they were on ECBs a while back. Also there are $1 off q’s for Pepcid, Mylanta, and Immodium in today (6/22)’s Red Plum insert.

Non-ECB deals:
Off Insect repellent is $3.49 on sale, there is a $1/1 q in the Walgreens ES catalog and there are 75 and 55 cent-off q’s in today (6/22)’s SmartSource insert.

SoBe Life Water is BOGO; I think it’s usually $1.59. There is a $1/2 q in the Walgreens ES catalog and a BOGO FREE printable here. You should be able to score some overage with that.

That’s all I see for now, but I will certainly add more if I find more! Here are some other fun Rite Aid q’s also:
Rite Aid Beauty Q’s
Rite Aid pain reliever Q’s
Enjoy!

Mountain Dews and Choo-Choos!

This week’s deals weren’t too too exciting at CVS, but thanks to some Walgreen’s coupons and some Rite Aid coupons, which my local CVSes take, I was able to do pretty well with the ECB deals AND get some things I needed. (Or am addicted to. Ahem.) Here’s what I got on my first transaction:

claritin.jpg

Joshua has to take Claritin every day for his seasonal allergies, and I use the kind of toothbrush that these replacement heads go with so I was excited that they were on ECBs!
Claritin syrup $5.99
2 Oral B power toothbrush replacement head packs $5.99 each (get back 3 ECBs each)
total = $17.97
coupons used:
CVS $3/$15 (expired 6/14 but my CVS will take it for 2 weeks)
$1 off Claritin Walgreens EasySaver catalog coupon
$1 off Claritin manufacturer coupon (got from a SmartSource machine at CVS)
B1G1 Free Oral B replacement head coupon
Two $3 off Oral B replacement head Walgreens EasySaver catalog

Total= 98 cents before tax. I didn’t have an ECB that small, so I paid $2.03 cash including tax and got back 6 ECB for the toothbrush heads!!

This next transaction I did because I was out of Mountain Dew and I really, really, really needed some!

I got:
12-pack Mountain Dew $4.59
Tylenol $3.99
500 count CVS cotton swabs $3.19
Almay mascara $6.99
Two Dove travel-size deodorants 99 cents each
Total= $20.74
Coupons:
CVS $3/$15 coupon
$2 CVS skincare purchase
$2 off Rite Aid Almay coupon
$1 off Almay manufacturers coupon
$1 off Tylenol
$1.50 off Pain Reliever CRT (I FINALLY got a CRT after over 2 months without one!! Did CVS read my plea??)
Total = $10.24. I paid with 9.49 ECB and $1.48 cash and got back 9 ECB (5 for Almay, 2 for Tylenol and 2 for the cotton swabs)! Mmm….$1.48 for a 12 pack of my sweet, sweet Dew! SCORE! The Dove deodorants also count toward the monthly Dove deal that I am sloooowly working on completing.

Finally, I just did this transaction to make ECBs. 🙂

4 EAS protein bars at $1.50 each (get back 3 ECB when you buy 4)
CVS 500 count cotton swabs $3.19
Almay mascara $6.99
Dove chocolate bar (as a bribe special treat for Joshua) 79 cents
Total = $16.97
Coupons:
CVS $3/$15
Four $1 EAS bar coupons
$2 off Rite Aid Almay coupon
$2 off CVS skincare coupon
Total = $5.97. I paid with 5 ECB and 99 cents cash and got back 10 ECB! Oot! Oot!

If you live in the Dayton area, a great way to get Rite Aid coupons is by registering at My Rite Aid. You will be emailed a confirmation, and when you confirm your account, you will get to print $50 worth of coupons. Since many of our CVSes take competitor coupons, this is a great resource! That is how I got the Almay Rite Aid coupons.

Lastly, thanks to Crystal at Money Saving Mom, I got this:
joshutrains.jpg

One adorable, thrilled little boy with TWO new Thomas Wooden trains from Toys R Us – FREE! Crystal posted a coupon on this post to get this free yesterday. The coupon is limit one per customer so Bobby and I both bought a train. We paid only tax 71 cents for each train! We could have saved them for a special occasion, but we just wanted to thrill him. After all, Christmas is a long way off and his birthday isn’t until February!

Well, I am OUT of deals to share, so go check out all the other dealin’ divas at CVS Superstars at the Centsible Sawyer and of course Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom!

More of Me, Me, Me

In the continued spirit of milking the Blogaversary thing for as long as possible, today I am answering more reader questions! Jen B. wanted to know what my greatest CVS deal ever is. Well, here it is! If you read my vacation post, you know my parents just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. I really wanted to get them a digital camera for their anniversary but gifts of this magnitude are generally not in the budget. However, being the shrewd CVSer that I am, I noticed a few months ago that CVS carries digital cameras! So I started saving my ECBs and waiting for a sale. Around the end of May, CVS had the Kodak Easy Share C713, on sale for $99.99 and you got a FREE 512 MB memory card with it! I knew it was time to strike.
kodakcamera.jpg

I had 84 ECBs and a $5 off coupon. After using all those, I was able to get the camera and the memory card for just $11.03!!! I was so excited!! My parents loved it and my brother gave me $10 to chip in, so my OOP was $1.03. I LOOOOVE CVS!!

Bethany wanted to know what my favorite blog to read is, if I had to pick just one. That is a ROUGH question Beth!! I don’t think I could read just one, I might die. But when I read the question, the first one of my daily reads that popped into my brain was Momo Fali’s. Momo is a hilarious mommy of two and a BUCKEYE like myself. And she is an amazing storyteller and writer. So go see her and tell her I sent you!

Now I shall answer a question from my dear friend Krista: What the heck would I do with a day to myself?? I am boring, so I would probably spend the day relaxing in my bed or on the beach, reading some good books and alternating shots of Starbucks and Mountain Dew. And I would definitely have a massage in there somewhere!! I know, I am a wild and crazy gal.

My sister-in-law Ruthie wanted to know if Emily and I did anything bad together as kids and got in trouble. The answer, sadly, is no. We were as boring saintly then as we are now! The worst thing we did was move heaven and earth to exclude Em’s sister Anna from our Rummy games. I know we will answer to God for that at judgment day! We’re sorry Annie! Forgive us!! We LOVE you! Anna has taken her revenge by being much skinnier and craftier than we are. So, she showed us!!

Mm kay, that is it for me at the moment. Now tomorrow is your last day to pick Emily’s brain, so leave a comment with a question for her or email her! She has some skeletons in her closet!! Drag ’em out people!!

Now go enter our contest…time’s a wastin’!
