Giveaway – Veggie Tales: Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas

At 5 and 9, there aren’t a ton of shows that Kate and Sam love to watch together (for some reason, Sam hasn’t gotten into Say Yes to the Dress quite yet), but two things they can always agree on are Veggie Tales and Duck Dynasty. When I got an email asking if I’d like to review and give away Veggie Tales’ newest title, Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas, featuring none other than Si Robertson as the narrator, I was all about it!

Here’s an overview of the story line:
Larry The Cucumber is a Christmas elf at the Spring Valley Mall who just wants to spread joy at the holidays. When he meets a little girl with a big heart whose only Christmas wish is to help a friend in need, “Merry Larry” sets off on adventure that will light up the holidays like never before and show the town of Spring Valley what Christmas is all about – “Christmas shines most bright and true when you give the love God gave to you!” Featuring Si Robertson as Silas the Okra!

Giveaway: Kellogg’s Love Your Cereal!

Breakfast (and sometimes snacks. And also dinner) in our house include one main ingredient – cereal. I’ll be honest, I’m not one to whip up seasonally-themed Pinterest-esque pancakes, especially on a school day. Actually even the thought of making pancakes on a school day makes me laugh.

In full disclosure, I don’t even feed my kids breakfast on school days. I leave that to my sister to handle after I drop them off at her house. But I do participate in one way – I provide the cereal for her to feed them. And I’m perfectly comfortable with this arrangement.

Kellogg’s knows we’re busy, but they also know we want to get some good things into our kids’ bodies – including fiber. Kicking off the day with a fiber-ful breakfast helps get the recommended amount in every day, and Kellogg’s offers more ready-to-eat cereals that are a good source of fiber than any other brand. And we’re not talking Bowls Full o’ Twigs, either – Kellogg’s Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, and Mini-Wheats all have between 3-6 grams of fiber, and kids will gobble them up.
