Me Likey Free Diapers!

This was a great week for CVSing! I went waaaay more times than is healthy. But I HAD to gets me all the FREE Huggies Supreme I could get my hands on! And yes, I “bought” some for Emily’s little guy too. Additionally, I “bought” Emily 6 shampoo/conditioners and four stylers so I THINK that SOMEONE should take her FREEBIES and STOP MAKING FUN OF ME! 🙂 But anyhoo…here are a couple of my favorite little transactions for the week!

huggies.jpg

Huggies Supreme $8.99
Rx Essentials Vitamins BOGO Free $14.99 for two
Cadbury eggs for a filler, clearanced at 7 cents
Total = $24.05
Coupons used:
CVS $5/$15 (exp. 3/31 but my CVS takes it til the register no longer accepts it)
CVS $5 off Rx Essentials
Two $5 off Rx Essentials MFR coupons (from coupons.com)
CVS $2 off Huggies Supreme
$1 off Huggies MFR coupon
Total $1.05
I used a $1 ECB, and paid 5 cents plus tax! Woohoo!

Here comes the BEST PART….if you bought $25 worth of Huggies, you got $10 ECBs back. So, I did a variation of the above transaction three times (I had two $1.50 off Huggies coupons and I used different fillers, things we needed such as milk and Advil!), and the third time it spit back a BEAUTIFUL $10 ECB at me!! Yeee-haaaa!

And for my next trick:

sunsilk.jpg
5 Sunsilk @ $3.49 each
CVS Brand Rapid Release caplets $3.99
Gerber puffs $1.59
Excedrin back & body $1.99
Reese’s 50 cents (I use this as a filler alot cause it’s hubby’s favorite! But lately I have been eating too many of them!!)
Total = $25.52
Coupons I used:
CVS $5/$15
CVS $3/$15 beauty purchase
Two B1G1 Free Sunsilk coupons
Three $1.50 off Sunsilk coupons
Total = $6.04. I used 6 ECBs and paid 4 cents & tax and got back $9.99 ECBs! Love it!!

Other things we got at CVS this week that we needed & we paid for with ECB’s: Four camp chairs, 2.5 gallons of milk, 4 bottles of Advil liqui-gels, a Brita water pitcher, & Baby Orajel for Sophie’s little toofers. I also got the Pepcid EZ chews for $7.99, used a $2 off coupon, got back 5 ECBs and will get back a $5.50 cash back rebate!! Oh and I now have enough Dove shampoo (my fave) to last me about a year. Umm…and Bobby has enough Nivea for Men shaving products for about two years. AND CVS paid me to buy some CoverGirl foundation which I am donating to a women’s shelter! I luuuuurve CVS!

Because we were so stocked up on groceries thanks to the magic of coupons, I only spend $10.24 at Kroger’s this week on some more mega-sale items and some fruit. Since my grocery budget is $40 a week, that’s almost $30 going into our savings account! YAY!

Well that’s it for me this week. For more great tales of couponery, check out Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom! She’s our savings guru! And for more craaazy CVSers, check out CVS Superstars at the “Cent”sible Sawyer!

Gettin’ Paid to Buy Stuff is FUN!

I had a grrreeeat time CVSing this week! There were many deals to be had, and I had a lot of fun getting them!! I was also able to get some things we -gasp!- needed as well!

iamsgarnier.jpg

This picture actually covers two transactions.
1st transaction:
1 Garnier conditioner: $4.29
1 Garnier cleanser: $5.99
1 Garnier towlettes: $5.99
2 CVS hand sanitizers clearanced at 25 cents each
total = $16.77
Coupons I used:
$5/$15 CVS coupon
$3/$15 CVS beauty coupon
Two $2 off Garnier nutritioniste coupons
One $1 off Garnier conditioner coupon
I used 3 ECBs and spent less than a dollar in cash and got back 5 ECBs for the Garnier products! And you know what is great about that? All this stuff wasn’t even for me! It was for friends and family members who use these products! I love being able to provide this for them and getting paid to do so!

2nd transaction:
1 Iams cat food $8.99
1 Glucerna shakes $10.49
total = $19.48
Coupons I used:
$5/$15 CVS coupon
$10 off Glucerna coupon
$2/$10 Glucerna purchase CVS CRT
$3 off Iams coupon
total = negative 52 cents! oops! I threw in a Payday candy bar, paid 41 cents cash and got 2 ECBs for the Glucerna! I didn’t even have to use any ECBs!

glucernamilk.jpg

I had another $10 off Glucerna coupon, so I had to do that deal again, because we needed some milk. But I can’t go buy JUST milk. So, I got:
Milk $2.99
Glucerna shakes $10.49
Cadbury Mini Eggs 17 cents (filler)
Reese’s 50 cents (filler)
CVS Rapid Release Gels $3.99
total = 18.14
Coupons I used:
CVS $5/$15
Glucerna $10 off
total = $3.14
I used $2.99 ECB, paid 15 cents cash and got back $5.99 ECB! 2 for the Glucerna and 3.99 for the CVS brand Tylenol!

And finally, my favorite transaction of the week:

toedividers.jpg

CVS had a deal where if you bought 3 Essence of Beauty (a CVS brand) products, you got 5 ECBs. Well for some crazy reason these 99 cent toe separators count as part of the deal! So you get 3 for $2.97 and get 5 ECB! Crazy! Anyhoo, Here’s how this transaction went:
1 Nivea for Men $5.99
2 CVS Rapid Release gels $7.98
4 toe separators $3.96
1 Reese’s (filler!) 50 cents
total = $18.43
Coupons used:
$5/$15 CVS coupon
$3/$10 CVS brand coupon
$2 Nivea coupon
7 in ECBs and paid $1.64 cash and got back….wait for it…$22.98 in ECBs!! 10 for the toe separators (I had purchased the other two on a previous transaction – meant to get three oops! So I made up for it on this transaction.), 5 for the Nivea (had also purchased the rest of this on a previous transaction), and 7.98 for the CVS brand Tylenol. My cashier was muy impressed!

Well that’s the end of my CVS fun for the week…I also hit the mega-sale at Kroger, which you can see here. For more impressive deals, check out Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom, and for more Crazy CVSers, check out CVS Superstars at the Censtible Sawyer!

I Rocked Kroger’s Mega-Sale!

Kroger is having a mega, mega, mega-sale this week so I am joining in the fun at Money Saving Mom and showing you all how I worked it! I got all this, which rang up to $46.17:

kroger1477.jpg

for $14.77!!!

Kroger’s Mega-Sale is a promotion where if you buy 10 of certain items, you get $5 off your order. You could do this up to 3 times per order. I had coupons for the Welch’s juice, Hot Pockets Calzones, Betty Crocker potatoes, Hormel Chili, and Lipton side dishes. Everything I bought was part of the promotion except the bananas and canned fruit. After the promotion, my total went down to $31.17, and after coupons, $14.77. I was GIDDY when I left the store!!

So get to Kroger and work that Mega-Sale!! To see how others worked it, check out Money Saving Mom’s Kroger Mega-Sale carnival here.
