Always Vacation Near a CVS!

This post is going to have to be picture-less because I forgot to bring my camera cord on vacation. Whoops! 🙁 I hit CVS on Sunday to get some deals before we left town on Monday. Here’s what I got!

Two Lamisil foot spray $15.18
Two Playskool wipes $5
One Alavert allergy medicine $5.99
1 CVS brand Cotton swabs $1.50
Total = $27.67

Coupons I used:
CVS $3/$15 (my CVS will take this for 30 days after expiration. It expired 7/20/08)
Two $3 off Lamisil Walgreens EasySaver catalog q’s
$3 off Lamisil manu q
$4 off Lamisil manu q
$4 off Alavert manu q
$2 Playskool wipes email coupon (thanks CVS!!!)
$2 off Playskool wipes CRT (thanks again!!)
$1 off Playskool wipes manu q
$2 off CVS skincare product (works on the cotton swabs)
Total = 67 cents!! With tax I paid $1.49, used zero ECBs and got back 13 ECBs 10 for the Lamisil and 3 for the Alavert!! Woot Woot! The wipes and cotton swabs also count toward the “buy $25, get 5 ECB” baby deal going on, which I am hoping to get a chance to finish when I get home from vacation on Saturday night. We’ll see.

Once we got to Virginia, my BFF Luanne (whose family is vacationing with us) needed some things, and she had a brand spankin’ new $25 CVS gift card from a new prescription she got. I do Luanne’s CVSing for her, so I had her card and CRTs with me also. About 60% of the time when I use her ExtraCare card, it prints her out a $4/$20 CRT. It is just unbelievable and makes me totally jealous! I have NEVER gotten one of those! She didn’t have any ECBs, but over the course of a couple days we did 5 transcations at the local CVS and with CRTs, coupons and ECBs earned we got some great deals! We used $24.26 on her gift card. Here’s what we got:

Six 12 packs of Coke
Three CVS spray hand sanitizer pens
Two CVS brand aloe for after sun
Two CVS brand hand lotion
$10 worth of bagged candy
Three Jumbo boxes of CVS tampons
One Infants Advil
Two packs of AA Energizer batteries
One Energizer battery charger
1 CVS brand generic Claritin allergy medicine
1 Alavert allergy medicine

Shew! All that alone with coupons and ECBs would have cost over $90! Thank goodness there is a CVS in this little Virginia town!

Well, that’s all I’ve got this week…sorry for the lack of photos! For more great couponing adventures (probably with pics!) check out CVS Superstars at The Centsible Sawyer and Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom!

CVS Deals Matched with Competitor Coupons, August 10-16

Most CVS stores in my area of Dayton, OH take competitor’s coupons. This varies by store so make sure and ask your store manager before you march into CVS with a fistful of competitor’s q’s!

Buy two Lamisil or Lamisilk, get 10 ECB.

There are $3 off q’s for this in the Walgreens EasySaver Catalog. There were $3 and $4 manufacturer’s q’s in the 7/20 SmartSouurce in some regions. I didn’t get this in my paper! 🙁 But my mom did in Va. so I have her copy. 🙂 Prices start at $7.49 s even without the manu q’s you can make a small profit just using the Walgreens q’s

The great candy deal continues…buy $10 worth of select candy, get 5 ECB.
Included are 11 oz bags of M&M’s at $2 each, there are $1/2 q’s for this in the Walgreens ES catalog.

Select baby products, buy $25 get 5 ECB.
Huggies jumbo packs are included in this deal at $8.99. I got a Rite-Aid coupon insert in my paper today which had a $1 off Huggies Rite-Aid q in it. There were also $1/1 Huggies q’s in the 7/20 SmartSource and I have several $1.50/1 Huggies q’s from home mailers.

Buy $15 of Energizer batteries, get 5 ECB

There is a $3 of q in the Walgreens ES catalog for the very large packs of batteries, but I am not sure if CVS has those sizes. If they do this could be a good deal.

Bic Soleil razor or 4-pk. cartridges $4.99
$2 off q in Walgreens ES catalog and $2 off manu q in today’s SmartSource

OFF! Insect repellent is $3.99
$1 off q in Walgreens ES catalog and there are various manu q’s out there for 55 cents- $1 off

Bayer Heart Advantage is $7.99
$3 off q in Walgreens ES catalog, and there are many $2 and $2.50 off manu q’s

Well, that’s all I got! Hope this helps you. If you see anything I missed, leave it in the comments!

Happy Shopping! For more great deals, check out Money Saving Mom and the Centsible Sawyer.

All Shop and No Pay Makes Jenny a Happy Girl!

Well, I had great fun CVSing this week! I even had a couple of transactions that ended in ZERO out-of-pocket. Yay! Here’s what I got!

My first stop at CVS this week was for MILK! But I can’t go in and get JUST MILK! So…

cvsglade.jpg
Milk $3.69
Loreal Vive BOGO Free $4.99
3 Glade Scented Oil Candle refills @ $2.49 each = $7.47 (you know I loves me my GSOC!!)
Total = $16.16
I used CVS $3/$15 coupon
Loreal Vive BOGO coupon (making them both free!)
Two $1 off Loreal Vive Rite Aid coupons (givng me oooooooveraaaage!!!! yess!)
Buy two get one free GSOC refill coupn -$2.49
$2/$2 GSOC refill coupon (inside GSOC holder package I had previously purchased)
Total = $1.67. I didn’t have any ECB small enough, so I paid in cash $2.34 with tax and got back 3 ECB for the Glade! yay!

Now, I am an old lady and have been having trouble with my back, so my next stop was to get some of those WellPatch(es) that are a July monthly ECB deal. And get some more free-plus-overage shampoo. And free baby wipes!!

Four Loreal Vive shampoo/conditioner BOGO Free $9.98
1 CVS baby wipes $2
2 WellPatch $11.98
Tic Tacs (not pictured!) 89 cents
Total = $24.85
I used:
CVS $3/$15
Two $1 off WellPatch
$2 off CVS Skincare q (for the wipes – wasn’t sure if this would work but it did! yay!)
Two BOGO Free Loreal Vive q’s
Four $1 off Rite-Aid Loreal Vive q’s
total = $3.87. I paid with 3 ECB and with tax $1.99 cash and got back 6 ECB for the WellPatches!!

Since that $2 off skincare q worked on the baby wipes, I decided to go crazy and compete the Great Free Baby Wipe Deal of 2008. This week at CVS, if you bought $15 of CVS baby products, you got back 5 ECB. Since the $2 off CVS skincare q worked on the wipes, this meant I could get 8 free tubs of wipes and then get 5 ECB after I got the last one. One problem: you can only use ONE of those coupons per transaction. So this meant I would have to do 8 different transactions! So I added one as a filler very time I went in, but eight times a week is excessive EVEN FOR ME. A couple of times I did two transactions when I was in the store, and then finally I went in one night on my way to Kroger to add some more wipes toward the deal with a couple of sweet zero-OOP transactions!

cvszerooop.jpg

This is two separate transactions, both of which I paid ZERO out-of-pocket for thanks to coupons! The first one was:
1 CVS baby wipes $2
1 Playskool baby wipes $3.79
3 Sally Hansen nail polish clearance at 43 cents each
Total = $7.08
Coupons:
$2 CVS skincare q
$2 off Playskool CRT
$1 of Playskool manu q
$3/2 Sally Hansen q

The cashier adjusted the Sally Hansen q down to cover my TOTAL before tax, instead of just the cost of the nail polish, so the total came out to ZERO!! Woohoo!
2nd transaction:
1 CVS baby wipes $2
1 CVS hand sanitizer $1.79
Used $2 off CVS skincare q and Free Hand Sanitizer CRT for another total of ZERO!!

I finally finished out the Great Free Baby Wipe Deal of 2008 with this transaction (I bought two tubs so I really did itin seven transactions instead of eight. Eight was TOO MANY!!):

cvswipes45cents.JPG

OFF repellent $3.49
two Sure deodorant $5.98
2 CVS baby wipes $4
Two Trident BOGO Free $1.49
Package of straws $1.99
Total= $16.95
Coupons:
$3/$15 CVS q
$1 CVS OFF q
75 cent OFF manu q
$1 OFF Walgreens ES q
$2 off CVS skincare q
Two $1.50 off Sure deodorant Walgreens ES q’s
Total= $6.20
I paid with 6 ECB and 45 cents cash and got back 9 ECB! 5 for completeing the wipes deal, 3 for the Sure deodorant and 1 for the Trident! Woohoo!

Ok, I am shopped out! Hope you all did great this week. For more crazy couponing, visit Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom and CVS Superstars at The Centsible Sawyer!
