Getting Paid to Shop Never Gets Old!

It was a great week for deals at CVS AND Walgreens this week. And then, whaddya know, Kroger decided to jump in and play! Crazy! Here’s what I got!

walgreens. got paid about 60 cents to buy all this. and some spree.

I got this at Walgreens. The cleaners were 2/$5 and there was a $1 rebate back on each. I had $2 off printable manu coupons for the Scrubbing Bubbles and Windex (I LOVE Windex Antibacterial!) and $1.50 off for the Fantastik. I also bought some Chewy Spree for 89 cents cause I loves me some Chewy Spree. My total with tax was $21.94, after coupons it was $5.94. I put $3.99 on my rebate gift card and paid $1.95 cash. With my 10% bonus, I will get back $6.60 in rebates. Woohoo! The rebates covered tax and the Spree, so it was all FREE plus a little bit of overage!

Also at Walgreens this week, I spend some register rewards and used my gift card to buy this stuff:

made about 8 bucks on this

I had a $2 off q for the Rimmel and for the L’Oreal, both of which were free after rebate. The Energy shots were also free after rebate, and the Huggies wipes were clearanced to 74 cents! (Sadly, I had coupons for these AT HOME! D’oh!) Anyhoo, I used a $5 register reward and put $12.35 on my rebate gift card and will get back $18.47 in rebate PLUS a 10% bonus! Yay!

Ok, now on to Kroger! Thanks to Glade and P&G for this great deal!

$8.33 at Kroger, but I got back $8 to spend on my next order!

The Glade Plug-in Scented Oil warmers were $4.49, but if you bought one you got a $4 catalina to use on your next order. I had TWO b1g1 free coupons for these. So, I bought two, paid $5.12 including tax, an got back $8 worth of catalinas. I then did the same transaction again, and used one of those $4 catalinas to pay. So I paid $1.12 including tax, and got back another $8 in catalinas. CRAZY! Then, I bought the other stuff:
Febreze Noticables $6.89- minus $5 coupon from P&G BrandSaver insert and minus $5 e-coupon loaded on my Kroger plus card = $3.11 OVERAGE!
The Huggies baby washes were clearanced a $1.65, I used three $1 off manu q’s.
The Pantene was $3.34 each. I used two $1/1 manu q’s from the P&G insert and the B1G1 free e-coupon loaded on my Kroger plus card paid $1.67 for both. (of course the overage from the Febreze took care of this cost!)
The Suave body washes were 3/$5, and I used two B1G1 free manu q’s
The Pampers wipes were $2.59, and I used a 50 cents off manu q (doubled to $1) and the 25 cents off e-coupon loaded on my Kroger plus card.
I used one of the remaining $4 catalina’s to pay and my pre-tax total was 18 cents!! With tax it was $2.09 for all that, bringing my out-of-pocket total to $8.33…BUT I still have $8 in catalinas I haven’t spent yet! OOT OOT!!!

CVS was very good to me this week, too! Since I’ve already bored you to death with savings, I’ll just show you one transaction.

Walgreens is Acting like CVS!

I could not believe the amount of good Register Rewards deals at Walgreens this week. Since we got a CRAPPY CVS ad with only 3 ECB deals in it in my part of Ohio, I had to go get me some deals at Wags! I know, I know! It’s terrible. I was very nervous because half the time their Register Rewards deals seem to not work, but miracle of miracles, this time they all did! I won’t break it down by transaction for you, but I did three transactions and got all this for a PROFIT of $4.50 after Register Rewards! And I put all the out-of-pocket expenses on my Walgreens gift card from last month’s rebates. YAY!

walgreens profited $4.50 in register rewards

Of course I DID get a couple of things at CVS. You know me, I can’t let a Free After ECB item go unbought!
CVS stuff

Cover Girl foundation $5.49
Cover Girl powder $5.49
Milk $2.99
Crayola markers clearance $.49
Dawn Hand Renewal $.99
Total = $15.45
Coupons:
CVS $3/$15
Covergirl BOGO (took ff $5.49) manu q
$1 off Covergirl product manu q
$1 off Dawn manu q (adjusted to 99 cents)
Total = $4.97

I paid with 5 ECB adjusted down to 4.97 and got back 5.79 ECB for the Cover Girl (even though it only cost $5.49! weird huh? But I will take it!)

Later in the week, I found some SWEET clearance deals at CVS!

79 cents each!?!?! yessss!!!
These fabulous fake Crocs were marked down to 79 CENTS EACH!! Joshua has worn these all summer and they are totally fine. Haven’t fallen apart, have been great shoes. So, I got 3 pairs for each of my kids in varying sizes for the next couple of summers! I paid with a $5 ECB adjusted down to $4.74 and paid zero out-of-pocket. YAY!

Then, Thursday I needed milk so I headed to CVS to see if they had any of the freebie October monthly deals in yet (they didn’t! BOO!) I found some Huggies Little Swimmers clearanced to 89 cents and I had $1.50 off coupons! They gave me the overage on them so I only paid $1.77 in ECB (a $2 ECB adjusted down) for this, and paid zero out-of-pocket!

got paid 61 cents each to buy the litte swimmers

So, all in all, it was a pretty good week! Hope you all got some great bargains too! To see how the rest of us crazy coupon ladies did, check out CVS Superstars at the Centsible Sawyer and Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom!

Shew! CVS Withdrawal Over!

Yesterday I posted about how I hadn’t been to CVS in several days due to power outages cause by the Windstorm of the Century on Sunday. As a matter of fact, of my two regular CVSes, one didn’t get power back until Wednesday and the other didn’t until yesterday at noon! Isn’t that ka-razy!? I was in seriously bad CVS withdrawal shape, but finally after a couple transactions yesterday I was much better shape!!

I DID get to go on Sunday BEFORE the power went out, and here is what I got then:

peanut butter & spaghetti sauce?

The Ragu & Skippy was 3/$5, so my total was $10 even. I used the $2/$10 CVS coupon, a $75 cents off Ragu coupon (from a home mailer) and three 40-cent-off Skippy coupons. My total came to $6.05. I paid with 6 ECB and 5 cents cash and got back 3 ECB!

Then, I needed milk so I did this:

mmm. free cereal!

Milk $2.99
2 Malt-o-Meal cereal marked down to 49 cents each
Newspaper $1.85
Excedrin express gels $3.99

Total = $9.81 (I didn’t know the cereal was marked down. So I expected my total to be over $10 before tax. My cashier let me use my $2/$10 anyways).
Coupons used: CVS $2/$10
Two $1 off Malt-o-Meal coupons, adjusted down to 49 cents
$2 off Excedrin coupon

My total was $4.83. I paid with 5 ECB adjusted down to $4.83, paid zero out-of-pocket and got back $3.99 ECB for the Excedrin!

Then, Friday, I was able to make a HUGE SCORE at my beloved favorite CVS store.

body wash and popsicles. oh yeah! I made $7.50 on this!

Four St. Ives body wash $3.99 each
One 48-pack giant Flavor-Ice, clearanced at $3.74

Total = $19.70
Coupons:
$2/$10 CVS
Two B1G1 Free St. Ives manu q’s
Two $1 off St. Ives manu q’s
Four $1 off St. Ives Walgreens q’s
$2 off St. Ives CRT

total= $1.72
I didn’t have any ECB that small, so with tax I paid $2.82 on my gift card from Joshua’s prescription and got back TEN ECB!! 5 was for the St. Ives, and 5 for the Flavor-Ice that cost me only $3.74! These were $14.99 with 5 ECB back, and even though they were on clearance they STILL gave the ECB! My husband LOVES these so I went back and got another box. Score!

Finally, I did this transaction as part of the CVS Charity Challenge. I won a $5 CVS gift card from Erin at Coupon Cravings to use to buy things for the charity of my choice. I chose Oasis for Women, an organization in our area that ministers to women who are employed in the sex industry. They need toiletries, makeup, and hygiene items for the gift bags they make up for the women they minister to. I got everything in the picture below for $4.77 on the gift card, and got 3 ECB back. I am going to use that to buy one more Suave deodorant and get a couple other small things and then I will get another 2 ECB for the Suave. Which I will then use to buy something else to donate! Hopefully I will be able to wrap all that up next week so I can take all the items to Oasis! I would have finished it this week if I had actually been able to GET TO CVS!

CVS Charity Challenge, got all this for under $5

Well that’s all for me this week. Hope you all did great too! For more crazy couponing, check out Money Saving Mom and the Centsible Sawyer!
