It’s a Baby’s Birthday Giveaway!

Dear Readers, Emily really did y’all a favor when she had another baby, because in honor of the birth of her son Samuel, we are hosting a great giveaway you all are going to love! To help us celebrate, my friend Jeni Deason, the very talented SAHM of three and owner and designer at Carabella’s, an online baby gift boutique, is giving Emily this amazingly adorable Babylicious gift set in Groovy Blue…

(yes! Those are adorable itty-bitty baby BOXER SHORTS!)

…and she’s offering you the chance to win a $30 gift certificate to Carabella’s! The great thing about Carabella’s is that every gift is personalized. You’ll notice that each piece has Samuel’s name on it. Let me just say Jeni works fast! She amazes me, since we didn’t even know what gender Emily’s baby was let alone it’s name, and yet she delivered this gift to my house before the child was 10 hours old!! I can’t promise you she’ll be that fast on every order, but the girl can really whip up some cute stuff on the quick! Check out this adorable Babylicious Posie bib she embroidered for Sophie:

Samuel’s First Pics!

If you’re just checking in today, see the post below for the big announcement!

I just got back from the hospital! Emily is doing great and was waaay too alert and with it for someone who’d just popped out a kid less than two hours earlier! Samuel is just beautiful as you will soon see for yourself. And according to Emily he was already “nursing like a champ”! Andy was glowing with pride and big sister Kate was trying to figure out what to make of all of it! Here are some pics! My battery died so this is all I got, but am going back tomorrow so expect a barrage of photos in the days to come!

Without further adieu, I give you Samuel Edward (whom Emily’s dad is already calling “Sluggin’ Sam” – he’s a baseball nut!):

Kate holds him for the first time! He thinks it’s rather exhausting!

I would like to note that the weather here has been terrible, dark, and rainy for quite a few days, and today, it is gorgeous and sunny! I think we have Sam to think for that. Thanks little guy! We sure are glad to have you around!

The Suspense is OVER! The Baby is HERE!

***************IT’S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*******************

Emily, Andy, and big sister Kate welcomed Samuel Edward into the world this afternoon at 12:04 p.m. Samuel weighed 7 lbs, 7 oz and is 19.25 inches long and has LOTS of dark hair!

Emily had a doctor’s appointment yesterday and they discovered through examination and ultrasound that the baby had flipped into the correct position! No longer a breech! So, Em’s Dr. (who also delivered my two babies!) decided not to give the baby a chance to flip back to breech, and induced her last night. Although Samuel took his time coming into the world, according to Emily, getting him here “Could not have been any easier. It’s crazy how easy it was!” (Don’t you hate her??)

And now I am off to drop my kids at my sis-in-law’s so I can run to the hospital and see my new baby cousin! I will report back ASAP!!

Congratulations Emily, Andy, and Kate! And welcome to the family, Samuel! I love you all!
