So last week, after Emily posted her brilliant “Merry Christmas” post, she said to me, “What do you think about Mommin’ It Up taking the week off?” I was all, “sounds good to me”! We’ve never really done that before, but who doesn’t want a break over the holidays?
I gotta admit, it was nice to just chillax.
But now I’m all, “OHEMGEESOMUCHHAPPENEDONTHEBREAKANDWHATDOIEVENBLOGABOUT?”
So you might have to bear with us as we get back into the swing of things, and I hope you will! Because today we had one of the most epic text message conversations EVER, and if I can figure out how to translate it so that it’s expletive-free, it’s going to make a GREAT post. Right, EmilyÂ
“potty mouth” Berry?
Here are a few photographic highlights of our break from my family:
We had an awesome Christmas and holiday break!
So, now it’s a new year. Lucky 13, y’all! I don’t really make New Year’s Resolutions, do you? I’d love to hear some in the comments – maybe you’ll inspire me!
Well, it’s about time!
Happy New Year!
UP
I agree. Bunch of slackers.
Missed you guys! Thanks for sharing the pictures!
I’m glad that Luke Skywalker armed all the ladies. Even ladies need a lightsaber now and then.
Just FYI – if you take the expletives out of our text conversation, it’s not going to be nearly as funny.
I’m looking for an appropriately hilarious substitute word, cousin, that I can use and still capture the spirit of your enraged text messages. GIVE ME SOME #$%^! time!
It was a Lego Christmas. Love Luke visiting the cafe…just call him a ladies’ man.
My New Years Resolution is NOT to diet. So far I’m doing great!
How about a resolution to take a week off next year too??? 😉 and you forgot you got
To see my impressive gigantic Christmas tree 🙂 and eat my gluten free made just for you food!
Love the Luke arming the ladies picture! Awesomeness runs in your family 🙂
My New Years resolution is to work on some patience. My 4 year old wears me down daily. And I now have another one on the way. It’s taken us a long time to decide on a second. So, now I will need way more patience!
Love love love all the LEGO Friends stuff! My daughter wants to collect it all! Honestly, this mama totally wants it for herself too! 🙂
I love a good New Year’s resolution! 🙂 Mine is to lose 20 pounds by April. And I’m well on my way. A great start to a new year!
