Hey, Remember That Thing About Me Having a Job?

So remember a couple months ago when I was like “GUESS WHAT? I HAVE A JOB!?”  and then I was like “Jonah picked his nose and shook my boss’ hand and it was so embarrassing!!”

Well. Since those times, I have been working very, very hard. And so have a few other really smart and talented people who know how to build websites. Building the site has taken longer than I had anticipated (because what the heck do I know? Nothing.) but I am excited to say IT’S READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (oops DID I SHOUT THAT? I AM HAVING TROUBLE CONTROLLING THE VOLUME OF  MY VOICE!)

I’m excited. Really, really, excited. And proud. It’s a great site, you guys, and I am super-thrilled to present to you…For Every Mom.

  1. Jenny, I have been reading your blog for awhile now and enjoy your anecdotes about your kids, life, being a mom, wife, etc. I fully respect your relationship with your religion as well and think it’s wonderful how connected and devoted you are to it. That being said, I popped over to your new site, because I enjoy everything else you share and I was a little taken aback in the ‘”about” section at how much religion/Jesus is mentioned. Maybe I was naïve and didn’t realize the connection for where the site was coming from, but for those of us from another faith, we struggle with the same mom, kid, husband, work, lift issues and that should be recognized as well. You want to teach your children that Christmas isn’t just about Santa bringing gifts, we too want to teach that the holidays, Hanukkah, is also about more than that, it is about helping others during the holiday season, charity, friendship, traditions, family. Congratulations on the new job, but remember, your audience is wide and from many backgrounds and faiths.

    1. Hi Stephanie! Thanks for being a loyal reader, I appreciate it so much! I think you will find there is plenty of non-faith based content on For Every Mom to enjoy from a variety of writers who aren’t faith-based either. So I hope you will come back and check everything out as we grow and publish more and more. But we definitely do have a mission to encourage moms who do have a Christian faith as well. I certainly wasn’t trying to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes, and I know since you mentioned my devotion to my religion you’ll probably agree that this was a good fit for me. Sorry for any confusion. As we keep publishing several pieces of content each day, I know you will find there is lots of material that every mom can truly enjoy and learn from.

  2. Thanks for the kind words friend! Super excited for you and this next step in your career. You will bring hope to the hopeless, laughter to those struggling with deep sadness, wisdom to those who are searching, and a moment for all of us to catch our breath in the midst of our journey. <3 you friend.
