I wish I had all the answers, and I definitely don’t. But I do know that God is good. I believe God gives us all the choices to do right or wrong. Sadly, sometimes the innocent have to suffer the consequences of another’s wrong choice, whether that be an innocent victim of terrorism or a child that goes hungry because his parent has gambled away all their money. I certainly know that the rain falls on the just and the unjust. I know bad things may happen to me sometime, my prayer is that I will be able to stand firm in my faith if and when they do. Sorry, like I said, I don’t have all the answers, but I do believe God is good and loving, and that he sees us when we are in pain, and is WITH us in the midst of it, if we have given our lives to him.

I’m blushing. Just reading away in my Google reader and I see my name – always a fun moment. Right back at ya!

I recently got some brown boots, and they are very comfy, but not free. Whimper.

And I think God reminds us of his presence in little ways like this. None of us escape sorrow, that’s true, but I’m glad for the “chin ups”.

The boots are lovely. But…I, too, have difficulty with God’s hand in this. If he can provide boots and other items that are a want rather than a necessity, could he please intervene in really important matters? I really would have liked God to have prevented the massacre in India. As I read the details now coming out, it pains me greatly to know the torture these people went through. Couldn’t God have wrapped these good folks in a protective cocoon to keep them safe; to let them see their children grow up? It seem so terribly unfair.

Again, this isn’t to take away from your chic boots, but my logical brain doesn’t understand God’s involvement/lack of involvement!

wow, that was an interesting comment to read that “nicole” left you saying “IF” there is a “God”…blah blah blah, I’m not going to repeat all of her non sense but she OBVIOUSLY does not know our God who loves us so much that he shows up in our everyday lives!!!!

And, Nicole, HE loves you just as much as HE loves us and wants you to know that HE would love to show up every day in your life too.

You have nailed it right on the head-God cares. Even about the little stuff.
