I hope the furnace is fixed soon! Maybe you should check into getting a Sun Heat electrical heater. We have one that we use in the basement, but it’s great to have one in case the furnace would kick the bucket in the middle of winter.

I’d definitely find out if there’s a warranty on the work you already had done. Hopefully it’s something they’ll fix again at their cost!! Otherwise, I agree with Jenny – find somewhere else to sleep!

You need to have a slumber party somewhere ELSE tonight!! Our heater broke a few years ago, and it was in the middle of the coldest week of the whole stinking winter. We toughed it out for the first night, but stayed with friends the second night. And we didn’t even have a baby then – we were just big wusses ourselves!

Yikes. The fear of this scenario prompted us to replace our entire heating and air system last month. The one we had was older than dirt on on it’s last leg. At least we’ll get a tax credit for replacing it with a high efficiency unit.
